(1907) Hecla Bazil H

Bazil H is a very rare Hecla. He is in excellent condition. He has a good covering of white mohair and a pronounced snout with cinnamon stitching. His ears are set wide apart. His mohair is also in excellent condition for someone of 112 years old. He has a hump back and very long arms, and his glass eyes have painted backing on them.

He measures  16". He is mohair, stuffed with woodwool, with felt paws. His paws and feet all have original stitching on them (claws).
His joints all swivel nicely. He has an adorable face.
This company began making bears to be Americas answer to the successful German Steiff bear. The company made their bears to be almost identical to Steiff bears, they even imported the mohair from Germany! Yet, the company did not advertise much and was out of business in two years. These adorable and handsome bears are very hard to find!
