(1930) Earliest Merrythought label

"Made in England by Merrythought Ltd" Embroidered label sewn onto right foot.

This wording appeared for a very short time and is relatively hard to find.

The first Merrythoughts were made in 1930. They had certain characteristics of the Chad Valley range. There was already a good range of sizes.
