Sold (1930 ) Flapper

Very interesting unusual antique teddy bear from a British Company, dating from 1930s He is made of golden mohair, is stuffed with wood-wool throughout his body and head and is fully jointed. He has got original right eye of clear and black glass with remains of reddish brown painted back, left eye is a little bit later replacement. He has original black vertically stitched shield shaped nose. His mouth stitching is missing, he has a pronounced muzzle. The original cloth pads are in good condition with some soiling, but generally still sound with no tears and there are the remains of the original five claws stitching to each limb. He has possibly got an inoperative tilt growler in his tummy. He wears hand embroidered vintage waistcoat. Approx. 23 1/2" tall.
