(1920) 26" Albert

 Albert is a rare, fine and large Farnell teddy bear 1920s, with bright golden mohair, orange and black glass eyes, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth, webbed hand claws and feet claws, swivel head, jointed limbs with felt pads, card lined feet pads, hump and inoperative growler -26 3/4in. (68cm.) high (right inner ankle with bald area, neat repair to right foot pad, otherwise exceptional) - this bear sold at Christie's South Kensington in the December Teddy Bear sale in 1999, lot 247,  and comes with a copy of this catalogue; he also appears on page 54 of Sue Pearson's book Bears
