Eric Petit, the foremost French teddy bear expert has identified Pearson as an Effel bear. Effel had a small company in Lyon.
Pearson is a most unusual and rare teddy bear. He is a French Effel bear. He has a vertically stitched nose with downward end stitches, with a little red felt tongue, bright yellow eyes with black pupils and webbed stitching on both his paws and claws. His coat is a really long shaggy cinnamon colour.
