(1930) Blanche

This adorable creamy colored long haired mohair teddy bear was found in a cedar chest with the accompanying antique photograph. The bear in the black and white photo looks very much like the teddy bear, but if it is not the same bear, it certainly displays well with this sweet vintage fellow. He appears to be a white mohair bear circa 1930s. He has amber glass eyes and a slightly upturned snout, with black floss nose and mouth. We are offering him, as found, with his lavender and ivory antique silk ribbon bow around his neck. His felt pads on his feet are a bit worn, with excelsior showing through on one pad. His pads on his hands are also worn and one area of his paw shows some excelsior just starting to peek through. His overall mohair coverage is excellent, with 99% or more of the mohair intact. He stands 16" tall, not measuring his ears. Jointed at neck, arms and legs. Head is excelsior stuffed and his torso is stuffed with kapok. The antique photo is about 9" tall and depicts a young girl holding a mirror up to teddy's face. A very sweet teddy with lots of character!
