(1930) Teddy Toys. Muzzle
Amazing very rare to find early British mohair teddy bear believed to be by Teddy Toy Company, dating from 1920s, made of pale lemon yellow mohair, feels to be stuffed with wood-wool throughout the body and head, fully jointed, has got orange and black glass eyes, pronounced clipped muzzle, original black vertically stitched nose with upper stitches pointing up, inverted Y shape mouth stitching, original cloth pads to feet, paw pads recovered with matching cloth, no claws stitching. Has got large inoperative squeaker in his tummy. Final seam runs to the front. Slight hump on the back. Approx. 15" tall.
Condition - good antique condition with slight general wear and thinning (mainly to the back of right leg), paw pads recovered, small hole to the left foot pad; repair to the seam on the left side of the muzzle; minor repair to the nose stitching. Generally - clean and solid.
