z(1950) Label Louie. Josie Rockett
Showcased by Josie Rockett
Here is lovely Louie. Louie's date of production is a little more tricky to place, bears of his design were produced in 1959 but he has the later label that was introduced in 1961, which means his design must have carried on into the 60s…but Louie has a very unusual feature that was in use in the 50s! He has a compound (gutta percha) nose. These noses were not very durable and were only used for a short time, so if he was made in the 60s this would be very unusual! I just don't know :) what I do know, is that he is the most lovely little bear! He has mohair fur and age worn yellow velveteen pads. His mouth and claw stitching is pink! and he is soft stuffed, probably with sub. He measures 14 inches long and has plastic safety eyes.
