SOLD Pixie (1940) Grumpy Bear £50
Grumpy Bear is gorgeous old fellow typical of an English bear from the 1940/50’s. He is a nice solid bear and measures a large 18" tall. His amazing bright golden coloured fur does have some thinning in places. But overall, his mohair coverage is good. He has a small tear in his back leg, which has been sewn with a “mummy” repair. Apart from that he is in great shape for his age with original eyes, black horizontally stitched nose and mouth and an adorable face. He has his four original Rexine pads all showing some signs of wear. I have tried to identify this chap, but without a label it’s not easy. The nearest “lookalike” I could find is a Pixie Bear (Sue Pearson’s Bears book, page 80). but please make up your own mind, as I can’t identify him for sure.
