A Moritz Pappe (1915) Papyrus

Papyrus is an extremely rare Moritz Pappe musical bear. He has had very loving handling and is in superb condition, the yellowy blond mohair is long and soft. He is a jointed bear with a Swiss Music Box with a bellows mechanism which plays when you squeeze his tummy. He has lovely big glass eyes and is in fantastic condition. His felt pads and paws have 4 silk claws stitched closely together. Pappe Moritz bears  in this condition are rare. You can see a photo of one very similar in the "German Teddy Bear Encyclopedia" by Jurgen & Marianne Cieslik page 163, photo 625.
