(1919) Fadap Jacques
Jacques is a charming humpbacked Fadap bear c.1920s, with a great long snooty snout. He is wood wool stuffed and 46 cms (18") tall. He has original clear glass eyes and a re-stitched nose and mouth done some time ago. Fully-jointed, his legs are a little stiff, but he manages to sit down quite easily. Most of his felt pads have been recovered in the past, and also patched. He's slightly threadbare in a few places but he's a sturdy bear with a sprinkling of white mohair remaining. This jaunty character wears his woolly vest and handmade waistcoat, with vintage trousers and new straw boater.
