Omega History photos and evidence

Description Thanks to Kisty Johnson

With a spare few hours this afternoon I went down the rabbit hole of researching British United Toy Manufacturing Co/Omega of which little was known about other than it was founded by James S Renvoize originally in South Tottenham moving to the Union Works Carysfort Road Stoke Newington with their showrooms in Cripplegate in the City of London. I have found a photo of James George Sidney Renvoize who established a toymaking firm in London in 1894. There seem to be several addresses given for South Tottenham including 150 to 152 Stamford Hill and 1 Southey Road. I have photographed a detailed biography which is unfortunately is in German but I have translated a bit for information. In 1938 he was living in Grove Lodge Wood Street Barnet and the company was disolved in 1981 with an address in Normandy Avenue Barnet, I cycle these roads almost daily so will try and find out more. I have 2 photos of the Omega Works in Stoke Newington with a modern comparison. His son had an amazing career in WW2 in the RAF and I have included that. Also copies of the 1911 and 1921 census. If I have made any mistakes especially with the German translation please let me know.
