zTwyford (1950) Toby and Toffee (1953) Showcased by Josie Rockett
Toby is a rare red mohair Twyford bear made in the late 1950s, early 60s. He measures a dinky 10 inches tall, has a soft stuffed body and a wood wool filled head. His pads are made from felt, he has glass eyes and a non working squeaker in his tummy. He is an unusual little fellow and it is quite interesting that he has an almost identical design to the Farnell Toffee bear. They are the same size and shape, they even have the same rounded foot pads! I have included some photos of him sitting with our Toffee to make the comparison, they look so lovely together! Toby is a sweet boy and quite a serious little bear! He still has his Twford label sewn into his side seam.
