An early German Teddy Bear, circa 1910, with brown burlap, black boot button eyes, black stitched nose, swivel head, jointed limbs with felt pads, hump and inoperative squeaker - 11 1/2in (29cm) high (pads damaged and slight general wear)
The voice box seems to take up the whole of his body, there appeared to be no stuffing. Investigation revealed exactly that. He was opened up, re-stuffed, examined, photographed, put back and sewn up. He looks like a new man!
