SOLD (1915-20) Scott £125

I'm selling one of my prized Smiles bears to make some more shelf room! I now have seven bears which are now generally accepted as being Chad Smiles bears. There was a postcard of a smiling little girl, a smiling doll and a smiling Chad bear like this one. These bears then became known as "Smiles bears". Scott is a solid bear with nose from the very early experimental period Chad went through. One small stitch is missing. He sports an old kilt which covers his patchy mohair nicely. (There are 2 sharp dress pins in his kilt to keep it up, be careful!) He has the most amazing pointed toes! A rare and unusual bear.
