SOLD (1950) Belle £55
Lovely old 1950 Deans teddy bear measuring 16" to the tip of her ears. All original with plastic eyes and original stitched nose and mouth. She has bells in both ears and a growler which is clunking inside but no longer works. Originally she would have been a pretty pale pink colour. This has now faded to a light caramel colour with remnants of pink on the joints and inside the ears. Beautiful soft fluffy mohair ,retaining a good 80% with wear to tummy and some wear to arm and one foot. Original velveteen pads in good condition, some wear to the velveteen but no rips or holes. She has no claw stitching. She is filled with wood wool and kapok. She is sturdy and a heavy bear. She slumps and has a very sweet look. No labels but I am pretty sure all her characteristics point to a Deans bear.
