(1920) Omega. Thurleigh
Turleigh is a little old English teddy bear dating from the 1920s and made by British United Toy Manufacturing Company under the tradename "Omega". He is in excellent all original condition and is very rare to find with a working squeaker. His mohair is thick and a beautiful ginger colour. There are a few patches of wear and thinning but nothing major. He has the cutest little face with his big amber glass eyes and stumpy, shaved muzzle. His nose is vertically stitched with longer downward stitches on each side. His pads are all original and in great condition with no tears or holes other than where he has lost a few claws of the course of time. Thurleigh has a very obvious humped back and on his left foot is his original owner's school name label "Joy Fortt" who is believed to have gone to Convent High School in Bath in the late 1930s and early 1940s.
