Pintel (1920 )Tag Pintel

"Pintel" on his trike was made by the French company Pintel. His tag round his neck says "je m'appelle Pintel TSVP" (I am called Pintel, please turn me over" There is nothing on the back of the tag. Pintel made bears on wheels between 1927-1930. Although this bear has features which suggest it could be later.  Teddy is attached to a metal tricycle and when pulled along he pumps his pedals to turn the wheels. He's made of a short 2 coloured white and blue cottony plush and his "sweater" is cotton with plush blue stripes. His cute little face expresses his joy of riding the trike, with tilted head, plastic eyes and nose and red tongue. From his neck hangs his original Pintel tag. He has a small amount of soiling and plush loss, and one foot likes to slip off the pedal. The back axle on the trike is bent, but still nice and sturdy and moves along well, some rusting to the wheels. A hard to find toy.
