(1920) ISA Button Izzie Dog Sold £270

‘Izzie’ a Chad Valley ISA terrier dog 1920s, with white mohair, clear and black glass eyes with remains of brown painted backs, black mohair ears, black stitched nose and mouth, springs in legs,  inoperative growler and original cloth collar with metal rimmed celluloid button —20 1/2in. (52cm.) long not including tail (pads replaced and very slight thinning)

Chad Valley bought Isaacs and Co in 1923 (ISA) who were essentially furniture makers. One of the identifying features is the springs in the animals legs.His ISA button reads.  Chad Valley "ISA" Patent.
